Day 01: Arrival Delhi

Welcome on arrival at delhi int’l airport meet & assistances by our co. representative then transfer to hotel in delhi .

Day 02: Delhi / Lucknow / Sravasti

Early morning wake-up. after having tea / coffee at hotel transfer to railway station to connect train no. 2004 shatabadi express. Leaving delhi at 06:15 hrs. on arrival lucknow at 12:30 hrs transfer to hotel for lunch. drive to sravasti ( 200 kms, 05 hrs). on arrival transfer to hotel. Evening free. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel in sravasti..

Day 03: Sravasti / Lumbini

Breakfast at hotel. proceeds for sightseeing visiting maheth : identified with the remains of the city, maheth cover an area of about 400 acres. excavations have exposed the massive gates of the city, ramparts and also the ruins of other structures, which stand testimony to the prosperity of ancient sravasti, saheth – known primarily as the site of the jetvana monastery, saheth covers an area of 32 acres. lying about a quarter of a mile to the south-west of maheth, it become an important place of pligrimmage, adorened with numerous shrines, stupas and monastries. lunch at hotel. drive to lumbini ( 225 kms, 6 hrs). on arrival transfer to hotel. dinner & overnight stay at hotel in lumbini.

Day 04: Lumbini / Kushinagar

Breakfast at hotel. visit birth place of lord buddha for religious cermony / prayer. after lunch at hotel drive to kushinagar ( 185 kms, 04 hrs ). on arrival check-in to hotel. lunch will be at hotel. proceeds for sightseeing visiting nirvana stupa – standing at a height of 2.74 m, the nirvana stupa is built of bricks. this huge stupa was excavted in 1876. a copper vessel unearthed here bears an inscription in ancient brahmi stating that lord buddha’s remains had been deposied here. nirvana temple – this temple houses the 6 m long statue of reclining buddha which was unearthed in 1876. carved from chunar sandstone, the statue has an inscription below that dates the statue to the 5th century ad. ramabhar stupa – refered to as the mukt bandhan vihar in ancient buddhist texts, this stupa marks the site where the lord buddha was cremated. this large stupa rises toa height of 49 ft. dinner & overnight stay at hotel in kushinagar.

Day 05: Kushinagar -Vaishali / patna (kushinagar/vaishali, 215 kms and vaishali / patna , 75 kms,)

Breakfast at hotel. drive to patna ( 285 kms, 6-7 hrs). with pack lunch enroute sightseeing of vaishali – an special place for the buddhists as buddha delivered his last sermon here and announced his impending “ nirvana “ the 2nd buddhist council held after 100 years of buddha’s parinirvana “ also took place here. after sightseeing drive to patna . on arrival check-in. dinner & overnight stay at hotel in patna .

Day 06: Patna-Nalanda -Rajgir / Bodhgaya

Breakfast at hotel. drive to bodhgaya, enroute sightseeing of nalanda (110 kms, 4:00 hrs ). on arrival sightseeing ruins of nalanda university – the centre of one of the oldest known universities of the world the ruin contains a number of buddhist stupas & chaityas, monasteries, hostels, cells or rooms on four side with a central courtyard. drive to rajgir ( 17 kms, 30 mnts ). here sightseeing places are gridhkuta ( vulture’s peak ) – a hill on which buddha mediated, bimbisara prison – king bimbisar was imprisoned here by his son ajatstru, venuvan vihara – a bamboo garden of king bimbisara, who made it as a gift to lord buddha. lunch will be at restaurant in rajgir. afternoon sighseeing drive to bodhgaya (90 kms,3:30 hrs).on arrival transfer to hotel. dinner & overnight stay at hotel in bodhgaya.

Day 07:At Bodhgaya

Breakfast at hotel. after breakfast visit mahabodhi temple – the main shrine of supreme enlightenment, the mahabodhi temple is unique amongst other north indian temples. it is an architectural amalgaunation of many centures & cultures. the bodhi tree – situated inside the temple premises, under which buddha attained illumination. it is believed to be the fourth or fifth generation off springs of the original. lunch at hotel. afternoon sightseeing of nirjana river, sujata village & monastries of different countries. dinner & overnight stay at hotel in bodhgaya.

Day 08: Bodhgaya / Varanasi

Breakfast at hotel. drive to varanasi ( 255 kms,6-7 hrs). with pack lunch. on arrival first sightseeing of sarnath – situated about 10 km from varanasi is the place where buddha preached his first sermon after he had attained enlightenment at bodhgaya. at museum in sarnath can see the ashok pillar with its four guardia lions that has been as india ’s national emblem. dinner & overnight stay at hotel in varanasi . Day 09 : 14-11-2009 : Varanasi / Agra (overnight Train) Early morning wake up. visit to river ganges – sightseeing of wonderful ghats ( bank of river ) enjoy boat ride with picturesque view of sunrise. kashi vishwanath temple – near the ghats is the most sacred of the shrines dedicated to the lord shiva. originally constructed by the queen of ondore in 1776. breakfast at hotel. start city tour visiting bharat mata mandir – inaugurated by mahatma gandhi, is a unique temple dedicated to mother india , durga temple one of the important temples dedicated to goddess durga. constructed in the 18th century. kaal bhairva – situated in visheswarganj, bhairno nath, is a temple dedicated to lord shiva. lunch will be at the hotel. then transfer to railway station to connect train no. 4863 ( marudhar exp. ) leaving varanasi at 1835 hrs. packed dinner will be provided, overnight on board.

Day 9: Agra / Delhi

Arrival at Agra cantt railway station at 0650 hrs. transfer to hotel wash & change and have breakfast. for sighseeing of agra city first visiting one of the world’s most popular monument – “ Tajmahal “ built by mughal emperor shahjehan for his empress mumtaj mahal. the contruction belived to have taken 22 years ( started in 1631 ) to coplete with over 20,000 craftsman working round the clock. now proceed for sightseeing tour of magnificient Agra fort – built in the bank of yamuna river, is situated in the centre of the town. various styles of the architecture are evident within the fort & demonstrates the love of mughal emperors towards building beautiful monuments. after lunch drive to delhi ( 210 kms, 4:30 hrs). on arrival transfer to restaurant for dinner. after dinner check-in. overnight stay at hotel in delhi .

Day 11: Departure delhi ( Del / Kul)

Breakfast at hotel. proceed for sightseeing visiting qutub minar – an 11th century victry tower that rises to a height of 73 mtr, Lotus temple – a place of faith that all visitors must see the baha’i temple. a beautiful marble building in the form of blossoming lotous, surrounded by acres of beautiful gardens india gate – at the centre of the city ( 42 mtr. high stone arch ) is a memorial raised in honour of the indian soliders who fought & died in the capaigns of wwi & afghan war, presidents house – built in 1929, once the imperial residence of the british viceroys and now official residence of the president of indian republic, parliament house – this circular shaped building houses the two houses of parliament – the lok sabha ( lower ) & the rajiya sabha ( upper ). its domed central hall is 90 feet in diameter, lakshami narayan temple, . Rajghat :-The sprawling site on the banks of River Yamuna is marked by a brick platform flanked by an eternal flame, this is the place where father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Following is assassination in 1948. lunch at restaurant. afternoon free for shopping. evening timely transfer to airport to catch flight back home with sweet memories of your india visit.
